Every tool shop I know will do design for free with a PO for the plastic injection mold. But you want to make it in house. I have several China mold designers and could typically make a design from $500 to maybe $3-5k depending on complexity and size. We also make more than 300 injection molds per year every year for the past 15, so we've probably done a plastic injection mold like yours. about 50% of the molds we make come from a sample part first and we reverse-engineer it. By the way, we speak fluent English, Spanish, Hebrew (of all languages!), Mandarin Chinese, and Cantonese so we have a broad range of strong communication skills and can seamlessly communicate with China.
