Description
The power inverter convert the fixed 12v DC Voltage to 220v 50Hz/60Hz AC voltage of PWM nature. A sine or LC filter at the output of pure sine wave power inverter converts this PWM voltage to a 3 phase pure sinusoidal voltage. The LC filter acts as differential mode filter and suppress the harmonics of the power inverter. So the simple topology a 3 Phase 50Hz & 60Hz power Inverter and an LC Filter at the Output of 12v dc to ac inverter is used. The capacitors in the LC filter are connected in Delta connection. The output of LC filter is taken as supply to the load. Here the supply is of 3phase 3 wire unearthed or floating neutral type.how to calculate Phase to Earth voltage for this kind of system.
The output voltage of 12v dc power inverter is AC 220V 50/60 Hz power supply, 3phase sinusoidal voltage and observed practical reading of phase to earth voltage is of around 5kV Peak to Peak in normal steady state condition. I wonder from where this much of voltage is coming from. Is this a common mode voltage formed because of parasitic capacitance between phase and earth? and how can we estimate it? Are there any another reasons for this much of voltage?
