Vaportight fluorescent light fittings are used in places where the light source is sealed form the outside elements like water and dirt. It creates high illumination while providing a washdown capability. This is especially needed in food service lighting, agricultural lighting, industrial and other places where the light will not be compromised by the surrounding environment. The lens is made of acrylic which means it won't turn yellow like less inexpensive forms of plastic.
