SPIRAL WOUND GASKET
Description
The gasket is composed of non-metallic packing tapes (including expanded graphite, PTFE, special asbestos or non asbestos paper) wound on cold roller steel tapes and fixed with pinpoint weld on both ends. Inner ring, outer ring or both can be fixed on normal gasket to match for different flanges. For its superior stress compensation and sealing properties, the gasket is used as flange sealing to withstand frequent changes of temperature or pressure. Gasket with PTFE packing tape can be used as static sealing in places where strong acids or alkaline or other corrosive media exist, or high purity is required.
