Rubber & Products
Description
1. Good abrasive resistance,
2, low permanent deformation
3. External mechanical impact endurance
The most common rubber molding compounds we use include:
1. Ethylene-Propylene (EPDM, EP)
2. Chloroprene, Neoprene? (CR)
3. Nitrile, Buna-N (NBR)
4. Silicone (VMQ)
5. Viton?, Fluorocarbon (FKM)
6. Natural Rubber (NR)
7. Styrene-Butadiene (SBR)
8. Polyurethane (AU, EU)
1. Neoprene
Neoprene is a general purpose compound that offers oil resistance and has good chemical stability. It is also able to remain flexible over a wide temperature range.
There are many different grades which in general is a direct correlation to the actual percentage of neoprene in the compounds following.
2. EPDM
EPDM is generally used in applications that require outstanding weather, ozone, or temperature resistance. This product also has a great resistance to animal and vegetable oils, and has excellent resistance to acids, alkalis, and ketones. EPDM is NOT compatible with petroleum based oils.
