Toxicological information:
Acute dermal LD50 for rats >2000mg/kg
Purpose: Paraquat is absorbed by the foliage and to some extent translocated in the xylem. During photosynthesis a superoxid is generated which damages cell membranes and cytoplasm. Paraquart is one of the leading non-selective herbicides that is used in many crop situations such as burn-off treatments for weeds, stubble clearance or potato desiccation. It controls a wide spectrum of broad-leaved weeds and grasses and provides excellent residual activity.
