Description

Pulleys are used to provide the drive to the conveyor belt as well as to maintain proper tension of the belt. Conveyor pulley diameter depends on the conveyor belt width and speed. The type of rubber surface could be flat, herring bone and rhombic. Pulley is coated either by vulcanizing or cold adhesion.

Working Principle
Conveyor belt system uses different types of pulleys such as head pulley and bend pulley. Head pulley is located at the discharge point of the conveyor machine. It provides driving force for the conveyor belt. Bend pulley is used to change the direction of the conveyor belt and usually installed at the tail part of the machine.
