Description
R-409A is a low ozone depleting blend of R-22, R-124, and R-142b. It is formulated to closely resemble the properties of Refrigerant R-12. It is an alternative refrigerant blend for retrofitting R-12 medium and low temperature refrigeration systems. These systems, which typically contain a hermetic or semi hermetic compressor, are used in commercial food storage, vending machines, ice machines, and transport refrigeration. R-409A provides a slightly higher capacity than R-12 and R-134a in lower temperature applications.
