CURIO 80 LTD is a deep aero race wheel in 3T& acute;s flagship MERCURIO tubular range. Deploying the full range of 3T& acute;s new-generation technologies, this wheel is characterized by ultra-low drag, aerodynamic stability, and highly-effective, predictable braking in wet, dry, and transitional conditions. It& acute;s aimed primarily at the chrono or triathlon rider looking to shave seconds off in an all-out race against the clock. The innovative, all-carbon-fiber rim is strong and very light for such a deep section. Spoke pockets are molded in to the rim sidewall and receive the non-nipple end of the straight Sapim CX -Ray spokes (16 front, 20 rear). The wheel& acute;s inverted-spoke design means nipples add no weight at the perimeter, promoting rapid spin-up. This design has the added convenience of making it possible to effect repairs to damaged spokes without removing the tubular tire. Hubs feature 3T-exclusive freewheel spline accepting both Campagnolo and Shimano/SRAM cassettes with no adapter.
